2015 J Concepts Outback Shootout
Racers would show up to this years 2015 J Concepts Outback Shootout event and see the new changes to the pits and expansion to the track. This would be well received by the racers providing a more positive atmosphere and engaging the tracks with the pits in a very positive way. The pits would now also provide three monitors so racers could stay up to date and keep up with their friends runs and what heat was running on the track. Overall the feedback was very positive with racers and spectators liking the new improvements.
What a race it was. Friday provided a full day of practice with track opening at 9am till 6:30pm and 127 entries coming out for Friday night fights with the friday night program two heats and main done by 11:45 pm. Saturday morning at 7 am doors would open to 260 entries for the weekend with a 2.5 hours practice session and 4 rounds of qualifying ran right on time with the handed out schedule. Saturday would run right on schedule almost to the minute and would wrap up a long hard fought day of qualifying by little after 10pm. Sunday would open up to a short 45 minute practice session leading into the final round four of qualifying. Mains would be posted right on time and probably one of the most exciting TQ dash for cashes won by Terry Wickum would go on as seen here in the race video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nIMQ1NaWvc. Shorty there after main events would get under way right on time with great bump up battles going down with top two moving onto the the next main. It would ultimately come down to the 8 Minute A Main events which gave us some of the best shows of the day and our Top three for the event photos.
